Here is the other project from last week’s dressmaking holiday. This lady had drafted a trouser pattern from an existing pair, and had brought the pattern with her to make up. The pattern needed a couple of redrafts to get the size absolutely as she wanted it – hence the 3 mock-ups (blue) on one of the photos! She also chose a difficult fabric to work with – a double-woven crinkle cotton. After a lot of measuring, pinning, and careful stitching, here are the stunning pair of finished trousers complete with shaped waistband, a fly front, and a perfect fit!
