So, I finally had chance to try out something I’ve wanted to try out for week… I wanted to have a go at my Harris tweed reversible bag design – devised for my Intermediate workshops – in leather. I bought some navy, emerald and black leather in the autumn, and thought it would make a lovely version of this bag. First of all I couldn’t decide whether to do navy and emerald or black and emerald… Having made that decision, I then had to decide if I wanted to have suede or leather. In the end, I went for suede because the black is so black on that side, and the green so gorgeous! It was complicated and fiddly, but not as hard as I’d anticipated. So, I’m quite pleased with the results. There’s a concealed zip on the emerald side, plus an internal zip pocket and slip pocket. It isn’t perfect, but to be honest it’s actually better in “real life” than it looks on these photos!
