This holiday is 7 nights/6 days long, with 4 mornings (each morning approx. 3 hours) – in the studio.
This holiday is for people with some previous experience with a sewing machine, who want to learn something a little bit different, something a little more “arty”.
I will show you how to:
- draw and “paint” with the sewing machine
- do raw edge appliqué one the sewing machine
You can combine the techniques with use of paints and other colouring materials, and stitch onto paper. I can also show you how to use dissolvable fabrics, to create lace-like pieces. You’ll learn these new skills, then work on a design and create a picture to take home with you…or, if you prefer, yes the free motion embroidery technique combined with “standard” sewing machine skills, and make an item such as a tote bag , cushion cover, zipped purse. apron or Christmas stocking/cushion decorated with free machine embroidery.
