This is a downloadable PDF pattern and full, detailed instructions for making a fully lined bag and a fully lined internal, removable zipped crossbody bag. Instructions include both written information and photographs showing every stage of making. Email if you wish to purchase, or you can buy from my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/618350221/pdf-pattern-for-pippa-bag?ref=related-3
There are 3 versions of the main bag and 2 of the internal bag.
• The main bag is fully lined
• It has a contrasting yoke or panel.
• The lining has a yoke, an internal zipped pocket and two loops with swivel/trigger clasps for attaching the internal bag.
• The straps are detachable and are 84cm long.
• The internal zipped compartment can be used independently as a crossbody bag.
• This also is fully lined and fastens with a zip.
• It has a detachable strap (adjusts from 88cm-146cm).
• All straps can be permanently attached if you prefer.
I originally designed the Pippa bag as a first leather sewing project for my workshops so it is suitable for making from leather. The instructions, though, do not show leather construction.
Finished size of main bag: 37cm across at the top (28cm a the base) x 26cm high. Finished size of internal bag: 28cm across x 21cm wide.
The Pippa bag is suitable for people with some sewing experience but it is not too difficult. The internal bag – because of the metal zip – demands just a little more skill.
You need 13 sheets of A4 paper to print off this pattern.
