I’ve designed this quilt especially for Layer Cakes – that is, 10″ pre-cut squares. The finished quilt is roughly 130cm x 130cm, which is larger than the other quilts made in my workshops, so it’s harder to manage. It’s definitely not for beginners – you should have made at least one quilt and maybe another patchwork item before tackling this – though it’s not actually hard to make, it’s just managing the large piece of fabric!
The workshop is taught in TWO HALF DAYS and you will need to do some sewing at home in between the two days. You are unlikely to complete the quilt by the end of the second session, but the quilt top should – depending on how fast you sew! – be made. You will probably need to add the wadding and backing at home.
