Bargello Lap Quilt £10/€10

This is what we make in my “Beginners’ Bargello Lap Quilt” workshop. The instructions are detailed with lots of clear photographs and descriptions of each step, from organising your fabrics to pressing the finished quilt. These are downloadable PDF instructions – there is no pattern. If you wish to purchase, either email me or you can buy from my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/623046653/beginners-bargello-lap-quilt?ref=listing-shop-header-0

The lap quilt will measure approximately 93cm x 106cm.

To make the quilt you’ll need:
26 “Jelly Roll” strips
1.2m x 1.2m backing fabric
1m x 1.1m of wadding
Thread

You need to be able to sew with an accurate and consistent seam allowance to make a quilt. However, many of my “Beginners” have successfully made these quilts. They don’t take as long as you’d expect, either. To give you an idea, my Bargello workshop is a full day – about 6 hours – but is quite intense. In that day, we make the top – the borders, wadding, and backing have to be finished at home.
