This bag was designed to fit inside the “Pippa” leather tote bag, and clips inside giving you an internal zipped compartment to the tote. However, it also works perfectly on its own, as a cross body bag or as a shoulder bag. I make my bags in pairs and have been teased more than once about my “bag within a bag”! However, on a day out or weekend away it’s nice to have the option of a roomy bag for a scarf/jumper or a neat little bag that just fits in the basics.
The workshop is suitable for people who have some experience of sewing with leather – for example, if you’ve been to my Leather Tote workshop.
The bag can be made of leftover pieces of leather and fastens with a zip. There’s an internal zipped pocket and an internal slip pocket. The strap is detachable.
TIMES: 10am – 4/5pm
Tea/coffee and biscuits provided, but you’ll need to bring your own lunch.
COST: €50
SEWING MACHINES: Please bring your own sewing machine for this workshop. You will also need to bring a pack of LEATHER needles (sizes 14 and 16) for your sewing machine, and a TEFLON coated presser foot – I will explain more if you’re interested.
MATERIALS: If you decide to book, I’ll explain fully what materials you need to bring and suggestions of two places where you might buy them – one online, one a warehouse here in France.
