I haven’t run sewing holidays in the peak season before. It doesn’t seem quite right staying indoors sewing when the weather is – usually – glorious! However, this year I’m introducing 5 holidays especially FOR those sunny summer weeks – from June until late September. These holidays start on a Saturday and end on a Friday or Saturday, and include 4 (taught) mornings in the studio. Of course, you can use the studio at other times too, if you’d like, but you might prefer to swim in the pool, doze under a tree or explore the local area. At other times of the year, I’m happy to run my holidays even if only one “student” signs up – that way, you get one-to-one tuition so they can be very good value. However, during the holiday season – from June until mid September – these holidays will only run if at least 2 people sign up. So, if you’re interested let me know and if someone else is also interested, the holiday will run. Please note that if you’re travelling alone, you’ll always have a private en-suite bedroom; if you’re travelling with friends there are various options available – please ask for more info or look under the “Accommodation” tab. Some of the holidays include transport to/from the airport (and a couple of trips out) others require car hire.
I’m a UK qualified textiles teacher (ages 11-18 years) so if you want to bring along a child/children and accompany them to the workshops, I’m more than happy to teach them. The holidays requiring car hire are particularly suited to, perhaps, two couples travelling together with 2 (or more) people attending the workshops, and the others just relaxing or perhaps swimming, running or cycling – we do have bicycles and the country lanes are fantastic for this.
