The best way to find out what I’m up to and what classes/holidays I’m offering is to follow me on Instagram or Facebook.
To find out more about my Textile Holidays:
- If you’re on a computer – hover on the “Holidays” tab along the top, and you’ll see the drop-down menu or
- If you’re on a tablet or smartphone, click on the arrow under “Holidays” on the menu and you’ll see the drop-down menu.
Just a quick summary:
I’m a qualified Textiles teacher, with a Textiles degree and PGCE (teaching qualification) in Textiles, and I was a teacher based in the UK for 13 years, teaching mainly GCSE and A level Textiles Technology, although I’ve also taught Art Textiles. I moved abroad in 2015, and since 2016 I’ve run sewing holidays and workshops, firstly in South west France (2016-2020) and now in the Trasimeno area of Umbria, Italy, which is right on the border with Tuscany.
Before I became a teacher I had my own small business designing, making, and selling my own range of Christening Wear. When I’m not teaching I’m creating projects for classes, or creating items to sell on Etsy… 2023 has seen me returning to my first love of embroidery – both hand and machine – inspired by the gorgeous countryside around my home. In 2024 I hope to offer more embroidery holidays and classes, as well as the holidays /classes in dressmaking, general sewing, patchwork etc, that I usually offer.

Hello Glynis, Thank you for contacting me. I haven’t yet fixed up any dates for 2024, but I’ll add you to my mailing list and that way you’ll receive the information once I’ve put it together. Don’t worry – you won’t be swamped by emails from me. I do hope that’s ok – I’m going to send you a quick email now so you’ve got my email address.
Best wishes,
Bronwen
I want to know more….please! I am wanting to come to Italy and stay for 4-6 weeks and live and pretend I am local. Just in the beginning stages of trying to put something together myself and a close friend who travels sent me your information. Presently, I sew a great deal, mostly my own apparel but I am also a big knitter and have quilted, loom weaver and various other mediums in the past. I appreciate beautiful textiles, learning and new places of beauty. Thank you Bronwen!
