You’ll create a 30cm x 30cm miniature patchwork wallhanging – or table centrepiece or cushion cover – using “mini charm” squares (that is, 2.5″ x 2.5″squares) – they’re a great use of left over jelly roll strips!
It can be quilted by hand or sewing machine – whichever you prefer.
The workshop is suitable for people who have some experience and who can sew accurately with a 1/4″ seam allowance – it can be tricky in parts. You’ll need to bring a 1/4″ foot along to the workshop with you.
TIMES: 10am – 5pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided.
COST: €50
SEWING MACHINES: Either bring your own or use one of mine.
MATERIALS: I’ll send you a list if you sign up but to give you an idea: 1 pack of mini charms (you actually need 36 of them), backing fabric 40cm x 40cm, wadding 40cm x 40cm, thread, scraps of felt, velcro.
