You’ll create a 52-60cm square patchwork wallhanging – or table centrepiece – in one of two designs (one based on the “French Star” design, the other a new design). It is made from just one charm pack (5″ squares), plus wadding and backing fabric. The casing is hidden so when it hangs on the wall you can only see the patchwork.
It can be quilted by hand or sewing machine – whichever you prefer.
The workshop is suitable for people who have some experience and who can sew accurately. It’s excellent practice for someone who would like to have a go at patchwork but is a little nervous of starting off with a lap quilt – the size is manageable. It’s also a brilliant project for practicing using a rotary cutter!
TIMES: 10am – 5pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided but please bring a packed lunch.
COST: €50
SEWING MACHINES: Either bring your own or use one of mine.
MATERIALS: You’ll need to bring the fabrics needed for the workshop.
