I made this “free form” bargello piece at least two years ago – it was meant to hang on the wall in the kitchen so I didn’t feel the need to put wadding in. What a mistake! Although I loved the design, once finished I really disliked it; it just didn’t hang very well.
I finally got round to changing it, and adding some wadding and a different backing fabric, and now I love it again. It’s meant to suggest a meandering river or stream, with grassy/sandy banks at the sides. I’m definitely NOT artistic, so I’m quite pleased with the way I’ve put the colours together here. I wonder how long it will take me to actually hang it on the wall though?!
