A note on accommodation

The prices quoted (see under “Holidays”) are for a week’s sewing course/use of the Textiles studio (with or without tuition, depending on what type of holiday you choose) and self-catering accommodation in our ground floor guest apartment. Our guests have their own completely private space to relax and enjoy: their own fully-equipped kitchen (with large table and chairs) for cooking meals, leading out onto a raised terrace overlooking our olive grove, a separate sitting room with sofa, armchairs, TV and DVD player, plus a second raised terrace overlooking the pool and pergola, and the gorgeous countryside; you can see the towers of Citta della Pieve (Umbria) and the Etruscan town of Chiusi (Tuscany). There’s a staircase leading down to the Textile Studio. There are tables and chairs on each raised terrace for eating/relaxing and enjoying the views. We have 3 en-suite guest bedrooms in this apartment – further info and photos under the “Accommodation” tab.

Sashiko: this room is on the kitchen side of the apartment, and overlooks our olive grove and the local village Gioiella (meaning “jewel”). The newly updated ensuite shower room looks out onto Chiusi Lake, Umbria and Tuscany.

Trapunto: this room is also on the kitchen side of the apartment and it has a balcony overlooking Chiusi Lake, Umbria and Tuscany. The completely renovated shower-room is an internal room, so there’s no window, but it’s lovely and bright.

Goldwork: this room is off the sitting room overlooking the pool and pergola. It has French windows onto the large terrace of the sitting room.  The large, brand new, L-shaped shower room looks out newly updated ensuite shower room looks out over Chiusi Lake, Umbria and Tuscany.

Gardens and pool:

Guests have their own outdoor areas – the terraces mentioned above, the olive grove, the area around the pool including the pergola and a gravelled area, plus the large gravelled area in front of the Textile studio. We never use the swimming pool ourselves, so you wouldn’t be sharing it with us.

Pets: We have two dogs – a Golden Retriever called Pippa and a Collie/Retriever/Setter cross called Theo – and a small calico cat called Lexie. They are not allowed in our guest accommodation but if you are highly allergic to pets please do mention this when you enquire about a holiday.
