I ran my first “Beginners’ Leather Tote” workshop today! It was hard work, but – mostly! – fun and the results were fantastic… Four stunning bags made, in a beautiful range of leather/suede lined with cotton prints. It’s a straightforward project, but sewing leather is not easy – there are various challenges when using a domestic sewing machine. However, with skill and patience – and chocolates and home-made cake provided by one of the “students”! – they came together in a little over 7 hours… I’m posting photos of two of the bags here and will post the other two in a separate post…
