Sunflowers as far as the eye can see

Well, the sunflowers were worth waiting for… Only a week or so ago, they were just a foot high, then they appeared to shoot up overnight and I couldn’t see beyond the first row without standing on the wall… One day I could count half a dozen from the balcony, the next morning there were a couple of dozen… Then, suddenly, a sea of huge yellow heads following the sun throughout the day…
