So here’s the prototype Harris tweed and corduroy bag… It’s meant to be for my Intermediate workshops, but I need to streamline it a bit… I wanted a “transformable” bag, and this can be worn in 4 different ways. However, that gave me problems in adding the straps, and although I like the silver hardware, I think others would find it fussy. So, I’ve started t make two different styles – one flat, one with a flap. Like this, the prototype, they will both have a concealed zip, a top zip and a zipped inner pocket, plus internal and external slip pockets. The aim of the project, after all, is to teach a variety of methods of inserting zips and different pocket types, as well as combining different fabrics.
