We drove out to the west coast for a morning….and stayed for a little longer than planned! It was a perfect day – barely a cloud in the sky but a hint of refreshing breeze near the estuary… We went to Talmont-sur-Gironde – I love the little shops there, the narrow lanes, whitewashed cottages with colourful shutters and hollyhocks, the Talmontais wine served in the restaurant as you go into the village! Today we also had a galette, followed by a delicious ice-cream!
