I’ve been designing a crossbody bag for the Intermediate workshops… The focus on those two workshops will be zips and pockets, plus using different fabrics. My sample is made of Harris tweed in turquoise, and navy blue corduroy, lined with a co-ordinating striped fabric. I’m hoping it will be transformable – from standard zip-topped cross body bag to one with a flap, to more of a clutch type. However, having created two pockets and inserted a concealed zip, and partially prepared the adjustable webbing strap, I’m now at a sticking point, waiting for the silver metal zip to arrive!
