On Tuesday I ran a “Sew-it-yourself” workshop day, where people bring in projects they’re working on and I help and guide them through the making. Because of illness, there are only 2 ladies present, but we had a great day and they made fantastic progress. One was working on a complex pair of shorts for a child, the other a dress for herself. It’s funny because of course these are completely different patterns, but at two points they were doing pretty much the same thing on their garment, which shows that once you’ve got a bit of dressmaking experience you can make a whole range of different garments.
