The day started with an introduction to Free Machine Embroidery. Both “students really took to this, and very soon they were sewing away VERY competently. The third “student” made a sweet little pouch to match her pyjama bottoms.
In the afternoon, two ladies started their second garment – a tunic top. This is a great second item – it has a faced front opening, a bound neck edge, sleeves and side vents. So, lots of skills are involved which can then be used in other garments.
The third lady cut out a “Jendy” bag, then worked on a stunning embroidery of a peacock feather, which will be on the yoke of the bag.
