One thing I made over the holiday is this leather cross body bag, which is smart red/black on one side and casual blue/tan on the other… It’s slightly larger than my other cross body bags, those that sit inside my larger leather bags, but is still quite small. It has a detachable strap – useful for anchoring to a chair if you’re sitting chatting in a bar (1), and the inside has a zipped compartment and 3 slip pockets, for a pen, a purse and some business cards! I hated it when I first finished it, thinking the two different sides shouldn’t be quite so different – maybe with one colour linking each side – but after the first time I used it, I loved it!
I’m trying to use up all the leather left over from previous projects, not least because I’m thinking on the lines of “zero wastage” projects, as we begin 2019.
