On our way home we made a little detour to the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, just outside Montalcino. It’s an incredibly beautiful, peaceful place in a stunning setting…sometimes you can hear the monks singing.
Then we had a wonderful drive through the Val d’Orcia, which has a very unique landscape, and today was perfect with the blue, blue sky and the pale golden corn. Again, I was thinking of free machine embroideries…and wishing I could paint!
