A beautiful morning with the most incredible spider webs… I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many before! The woodland looked stunning – everywhere we looked there were intricate webs between the trees, though many “disappeared” when you tried photographing them… It made me think of the water dissolvable fabric experiments I did as student. As we left our woods and walked alongside the fields, the mist started to lift and the autumnal colours – the trees are just starting to turn – were stunning. More webs were scattered along the riverside close to the house, and the fields of remaining sunflower stalks looked added a harsh, angular contrast to these intricate webs. It’s been far too long since I’ve done any embroidery…..
