Here are some samples from the workshop I ran last week… In this technique, you “draw” or “paint” with the thread, moving your fabric (in a hoop), to create your design… It’s one of those techniques that takes some getting used to, and it’s hard to control at the start, but by the end of the session, everyone had produced a decorative picture… This technique can become addictive! You do need to devote a block of time to it, building up your control of the machine and getting used to fiddling with the tension and the threads you use, but the results can be fantastic if you dedicate some time to it…
