On Tuesday I forgot to take photographs of the products being made by the group, which is frustrating because it’s always good to reflect on what’s been made… Both the Tuesday and Thursday groups are currently working on a project of their choice, which is very different from all the other workshops where they have all worked on the same project. This will be something which lasts for two afternoon sessions – the last 2 of this year’s 16 sessions. Tuesday’s group are making a tunic top, a summer’s dress and a log cabin quilt… Today’s group is making a child’s dress, a pair of trousers, a two-toned tunic and a shift dress. It was so much fun – as a teacher it’s great watching different items come together, and seeing the confidence with which people relatively new to sewing now approach things… I’m not sure they realise just how skilled they are!
