On last Monday’s mixed workshop, two ladies made sewing bags. As usual, the fabric choices meant that the end results looked very different, yet each was very successful! It’s a great project for beginners and for more experienced sewists too – they could batch produce them as gifts, or use more difficult fabrics and turn it into a spring/summer handbag… It’s a simple shape so ideal for decorative work too – you could add free machine embroidery, detailed hand or machine tilting, or make it out of patchwork…
Both bags were very well-made and I think the results are really striking!
