22/7/18: Tailor-made dressmaking!

I ran a tailor-made (forgive the pun!) holiday here in France last week – 3 days of one-to-one dressmaking tuition on a specially planned holiday. Here is the first of the two beautiful garments made, both using commercial patterns… The “student” hadn’t done very much dressmaking  before so at the planning stage we both made sure the chosen patterns were not only the desired style, but that they also had sufficient challenges and vital skills and the results are very professional indeed, as you can see! The design included LOTS of darts, a concealed zip, a circular collar and facing, and lined, set-in sleeves…
