6/12/17: Free Machine Embroidery

I ran a free machine embroidery workshop today with 4 very lovely, very patient ladies… It’s a fun technique, once you get going… Unfortunately, at the start there are sometimes “teething” problems associated with tension and thread/bobbins… Some days go smoothly and everyone manages to start sewing without a hitch…; today was not one of those days! We had first 2 of the 4 machines playing up, then once they seemed to be working well, the other 2 started to play up.. Unfortunately, it’s a case of trial and error, patience and perseverance.. However, in the end, all 4 produced some great work, from pictures (which just need to be framed) and Christmas cards (which just need mounting). There was lots of laughter too, despite it being a freezing, foggy, very wintry day here in France…..
