So, we only returned home after a month long holiday last Saturday afternoon and already I’m fully in the swing of things… On Monday I ran a mixed workshop with one lady making a fabulous silk top. It was tricky to cut out – so very fluid! – and not the sort of fabric you could just whizz under the machine. However, at the end of the day she had a completed, beautiful top which fitted very well. It was made from the pattern shown below – a perfect pattern for tackling a more challenging fabric – no sleeves to set in, no armholes to bind, and very stylish too.
Also this week, I’ve been uploading my Christening Wear to my Etsy shop, finally! It takes ages to do – lots of parts I can copy and paste from information/descriptions I’ve already got on my computer, but the photos need to be a certain minimum size and scrolling through all my photos to find the right ones takes time. Also, I spent ages taking the photos but wasn’t really happy with many of them – getting the light right on cream/ivory fabric, in bright sunlight is probably the job of a professional photographer! Still, it was a start…
