The regular workshops I’ve been running since October finish in the next few days so there are lots of really great items being completed this week. Today someone finished a Log Cabin throw, in beautiful reds and mustard. I always get a little jealous when my “students” are doing patchwork, because it’s something I love but rarely have chance to do… This evening, though, I’ve ordered two jelly rolls to make new samples ready for future workshops! Also this afternoon… A beautiful batik printed fabric is gradually being turned into a lovely dress… This includes a pleated pocket, from tucks enclosing ties and curved pockets trimmed with the narrowest strip of bias binding! I rarely suggest tacking, but these pockets just had to be tacked! All very challenging, but the dress is looking extremely good so far…
Log cabin, tucks, pleats and binding…
