All the new products I’m making at the moment are for new day/half day workshops and/or holidays. I love sashiko items at the moment, but lots of people don’t enjoy hand-stitching. So, I’ve created a second kinchaku (drawstring bag, which works equally well as a basket) with all the embroidery done by sewing machine instead of by hand. The circles design was much harder than I’d expected, and I was working to a deadline, but I like a challenge….. I’d recommend, though, a design based on straight lines like the other side of the bag, shown in the main photo. The circles pattern is called “Shippo Tsunagi”, the other is called Yabane”.
