I’ve been making this scarf for a few days now – it’s purely self-indulgent! Not designed for a workshop or a holiday, not to put instructions on Etsy, just made because I had an idea and wanted to make myself something special. I love scarves – all sorts of scarves! While designing EPP projects last week I had the idea of making an eternity scarf trimmed with miniature hexagons. So, in the evenings I’ve been stitching them together – using cotton prints and shot silks- then last night I made an infinity scarf and appliquéd them on… The scarf is made from cotton chambray, cotton jersey and silk dupion, so it’s lovely and soft, is light, and it drapes well. I wore it today on our visit to the coast and the shot silks change colour when the sunlight hits them, just as I’d hoped… It’s so good to make something that turns out exactly as you’d planned!
