Here are some photos from yesterday’s Bargello workshop! It was an intense day – lots of sewing, pressing and playing with colours – but the results are superb. It’s the first time I’ve run a Bargello workshop, and I’ve only made 3 Bargello lap quilts myself, so I wasn’t sure how it would go. However – although it WAS intense! – I was roughly correct with my timing estimate. All three ladies managed to finish the patchwork top, but didn’t get the wadding and the back attached. It’s actually really hard estimating timings with these sorts of things, so that was a relief. I think they left here feeling tired but excited at what was accomplished! I was – am – still so surprised at just how different all three quilts looked, because of the fabric choice and the way they each chose to assemble the various pieces. I’m really looking forward to receiving photos of the finished quilts!
