I really can’t praise Bronwen at Textile Holidays France enough. I’ve always wanted to learn to sew and make things but never really had the courage to do anything about it. If I say that I was a beginner, that would be an understatement! I turned up to my first lesson with my brand new machine still in its cardboard box having bought it the year previously! I was terrified of even opening the thing let alone putting in the bobbin or threading it up!
Bronwen certainly wasn’t phased by my total ineptitude and together with simple and easy to follow instructions, a huge vat of patience, and mountains of encouragement, she managed to guide me through on her half day and later on whole day courses to making two types of cushion, a tea cloth, a tote bag, a wash/make-up bag, a sewing bag and just recently the Rose Garden Quilt. I’m really proud of what I have been able to achieve with her help and I really can’t recommend her highly enough. I’m now looking forward to my next project and feel sufficiently skilled to branch out on my own (albeit knowing she will be there for me on the end of the phone or an email). Just brilliant!
