18/6/19: First finished Rose Garden Quilt

This is the first of the four Rose garden quilts (made in the workshop last Thursday) to be finished! The lady who made it is a beginner – she’s very new to sewing and has only made a few items with me. In fact, when she turned up for her first lesson her sewing machine was still sealed in its box! So, to have completed this stunning lap quilt in 1.5 days is an amazing achievement! It’s perfectly made, too, with all the seam lines matching up exactly as they’re meant to – n mean feat. I just love the fabrics – I’d never date choose anything so bright despite loving the colours. It’s the “Rosa” Jelly Roll, from Moda.
