Since my secondary school days, I have avoided any form of dressmaking. They never fitted properly or looked like the picture. Big disappointment. I can sew straight lines so took on patchwork and quilting. My husband kept telling me if you can make quilts you can make clothes. You think, but I have made a dress and a top thanks to Bronwen’s courses. Carefully she took us through altering the pattern to make it fit me, and then we spent a day and half in the studio putting it together. I was amazed at the finished garment. Since then I have taken courses in bag making and free motion embroidery. There is always a friendly atmosphere, not everyone is at the same level, but Bronwen explains everything so carefully and provides details and instructions that we can follow at home. The studio is spacious, you can take your own machine or use hers, a bonus if you wish to travel from afar. I look forward to exploring new ideas with Bronwen, from dressmaking, home furnishing or accessories.
