As an experienced dressmaker (for over 60 years) I booked a ‘Retreat’ at Le Jardin du Berger with the expectation of having a peaceful week to myself in a beautiful location with some nice company. To say that it met my expectations is an understatement. Bronwen was so supportive, allowing me to ‘do my own thing’ but also discussing suggestions and options to make my dressmaking time even more enjoyable and productive. I think we both gained something from the week and I certainly learned to go back to some of the basics that I had been inclined to skip lately. As well as having a wonderful week, my dressmaking has improved and I am very happy with the outcome.
I met other like-minded ladies too and we all got on really well – never short of anything to say or do.
We had a couple of excursions which were really enjoyable, the weather was amazing and both Bronwen and John made me feel so at home. John was really kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him.
I’d like to thank them both for everything and I would so much like to visit them again, if they’ll have me !
