What a creative and productive weekend! Two ladies booked in for a weekend of sewing, and left with two gorgeous bags and, I believe, some good memories… Techniques covered were Trapunto, Kantha quilting and Turned Edge Appliqué – all very time-consuming techniques demanding both skill and concentration! They worked hard and laughed a lot, and by Sunday afternoon had each made a gorgeous lined bag; I love their rich fabrics and the threads used… Before they left on Monday afternoon, they had each added more embellishment, making the finished bags extra special, very tactile, and great reminders of their sewing weekend in France.
