It’s been a very busy week here at Textile Holidays France, and next week is set to be even busier… On Tuesday I ran a “Zipped Pouches” workshop, on Wednesday a “Beginners’ ” workshop, and on Thursday a full day “Woodland Walk” workshop. The Woodland Walk lap quilt is the first quilt I’ve designed from scratch and I was nervous about how successful the workshop would be… I usually try to make at least two samples of any new project before running a workshop, but with the recent trip to the UK I hadn’t had time to do that. So, although I’d made extensive notes on timings etc, it was all a bit unknown.
I needn’t have worried, though, because the 5 quilt tops made on the day are all STUNNING! What’s more, the estimated timings proved accurate as was the expected necessary skill level. I really want to make another quilt myself now!
Instructions should be available in my Etsy store by December.
