I’m running a “Decorative Tucking” workshop on Monday and, because it’s a while since I did that project, I thought I’d better make sure I had accurate measurements written down! I made this petrol blue cushion cover. It wasn’t ideal fabric – it’s one of my favourite colours and I’d bought it to make a dress. It’s a mixture of viscose and polyester, with some elastane. Tucking is better done on a firm fabric such as a medium weight plain weave linen, cotton sateen or silk dupion. The only concealed zip I had was also a little short! Still, it came together quite well and I’m pleased with the results.
