Inspired by a beautiful cushion made in one of my workshops – see below – I turned a “French Star” wallhanging into a cushion, using Moda’s “Portsmouth” mini charms… I prefer the one my student made – I love the vibrancy of it and the way that on her border, the lighter colour is closer to the patchwork. Still, mine works fairly well and co-ordinates with my other cushions! It isn’t easy, sewing 1/4″ seams on mini charm squares, so it was a very good exercise.
