The guest sitting room/ kitchen

Our guest sitting room has an open plan kitchen and a balcony for relaxing with a cup of tea or glass of wine – the room has views over Lake Chiusi and Monte Cetona in Tuscany. It’s light and airy, and we think it feels like a mountain lodge because it’s on the first floor, and because of the beautiful views. The house is very traditional, a typical Umbrian house with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. There are two sets of windows and French doors so it’s lovely and light, and you can often see the colours of the sunset over the lake. There is a comfortable sofa and 2 armchairs, a dining table and chairs – plus a fully equipped kitchen for preparing snacks or meals.

The Textiles studio is on the ground floor below the sitting room/kitchen – see separate info. There are two en-suite guest bedrooms – see the separate information on “Sashiko” and “Trapunto”. Both are characterful, with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, both are well renovated, light and bright and face west. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and the bathrooms modern and fresh.

The countryside is perfect for walks, runs or cycle rides – we have bicycles for you to use if you want. The crops change with the seasons – the views are beautiful all year round. We have a small vineyard and an olive grove, and you get wonderful sunsets from the vineyard.
