If you want a creative holiday here in Umbria, Italy, but prefer it not to be studio-focused, we are now offering holidays in an independent house, in an Italian borgo, 15 minutes drive from here/Textile Holidays Italy*. Ten minutes away is Lake Trasimeno and our lovely local town Castiglione del Lago, which has everything you might want/need including shops, bars/restaurants, cinema and train station. It was our holiday home before we moved here, and is still my favourite place on earth! We have just re-decorated it and the second bedroom is set up as a Textile/Creative studio, with sewing machine and other equipment, plus of course tables. It’s an ideal place to visit – even out of season – for any creative person – writer, painter, textile artist… The countryside is inspiring at any time of year, and it’s within easy reach of many wonderful Italian towns and villages, including Cortona, Montepulciano and Passignano (all 25-30 minutes) plus Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Orvieto are all less than an hour’s drive away (Arezzo and Orvieto also easily accessible by train). Rome is under 2 hrs by train, Florence about 1hr 45 by train. Cost is €560 per week and that includes utilities from May to September, but there will be an extra charge for heating from October through to April. The gas central heating is very efficient – the house is well-insulated and has double glazing – but with gas prices as high as they are at the moment, we do have to say this in case our guests decide to leave the heating on all day long, which shouldn’t be necessary. The cottage sleeps 2 in one large (160cm wide) double bed – contact me (mailto: info@textileholiday.com ) if you want more information. It’s available for stays of 1 week to 3 weeks.
The cottage is now booked from 1st March until early/mid summer, and again from late September to November.
*If you book the cottage, you can arrange half day or day tuition sessions from me, either at the cottage or here in my studio.

Hi
Do you have any availability at the cottage around the end of August to the beginning of September
Thanks
Wendy
Hello Wendy, I’m so sorry for not replying sooner. I so rarely receive contacts this way, that I don’t check regularly. People tend to contact me by email or by Facebook messenger. It’s probably a bit late to answer you now, but I’m afraid the cottage is booked at that time.
Sincere apologies on both counts.
