Still experimenting with different ideas for machine embroidery, I had a go at stitching onto ripped up paper, to try to discourage too much stitching, which I’m prone to! I quite like the bird, but I’m not sure about the flowers. (Apologies for the photos… They’re not properly framed yet – I’ve just placed the mount/frame over the embroidery to assess it, hence the strange angle!). The plan was to add quotations again, but I’m struggling to decide which of my machine’s produces the best text for this – none are quite right. So, I’ve finally got my Husqvarna Topaz going – it’s a machine which specialises in embroidery so the lettering is much larger than that I can produce on the other machines, and is stitched in satin, not straight stitch. However – I’ve a long way to go with this machine – I need to get some software first!
