This holiday is 7 nights/6 days long, with 4 days in the Studio and 2 days to relax or explore – see What is included?
This holiday assumes some knowledge of using a sewing machine – email me for more details.

- English quilting
What you’ll make:
- lined tote bag
- cushion cover
- embroidered framed picture
- small storage pouch
Below is an example of how your week might be organised (photos below):
STUDIO DAY 1 – On your first day, you will make a lined tote bag decorated with machine appliqué as in the examples below.
STUDIO DAY 2 –We will look at quilting techniques and you will learn how to do English quilting. You’ll make a small quilted storage pouch.
STUDIO DAY 3 – Free machine/free motion embroidery is completely different from other kinds of sewing – it’s like drawing with the needle. It’s great fun, and with good resources, beginners can produce effective results. In the afternoon you’ll move on to raw edge appliqué, producing a small framed picture.
STUDIO DAY 4 – Your final full day in the studio and you will learn how to do decorative tucking and will make a textured cushion cover or two.
