So you fancy learning to sew? You’ve bought a sewing machine and haven’t taken it out of the box? In a weekend I can teach you many of the the skills taught in my “Beginners’ Course”. This will give you some good foundation skills and, hopefully, some confidence!
I will supply sewing machines, but if you prefer to use your own – to get used to using it – that’s fine, just bring it with you.
For costs and general information, please see the main “Sewing Weekends and Short Breaks” page, or contact me: mailto: info@textileholiday.com

SEWING DAY 1 – I’ll demonstrate the basics of using a sewing machine, then let you thread up and start sewing. First of all you’ll make an infinity scarf, which should be done just before or after lunch. In the afternoon you’ll make a fabric basket.
SEWING DAY 2 – You’ll make an apron decorated with couched ribbons. It has a useful front patch pocket, and bias binding around the two curved sides – it is unisex, and makes a great first “garment” and gift.
