DATE: Please let me know if you’re interested and I’ll contact you when I’m fixing up the next date.
You’ll create a Log Cabin patchwork throw approximately 1m x 1m (40″ x 40″) using the “quilt-as-you-go” method, which is suitable for beginners.
The workshop is split into two half day sessions:
WORKSHOP (1) I’ll show you how to sort out your colours and then how to create the “quilt-as-you-go” Log Cabin block. You’ll prepare your wadding and backing fabric, and then should have time to create 4 different blocks (squares).
At home, between the first and second workshop, you’ll make another 12 squares – 3 more of each of the original 4.
WORKSHOP (2) During the final workshop, I’ll show you how to assemble the squares, and how to attach the backing and finish off your quilt.
TIMES: 10am – 5pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided but please bring a packed lunch.
COST: €50
SEWING MACHINES: Either bring your own or use one of mine.
MATERIALS: You’ll need to bring all the required materials to the workshop.

Hi Bronwen,
Can you let me know when you next have a workshop for making a log cabin quilt, I live nr Chalais.
Hello Sally,
Yes, of course. I don’t run them in the peak summer season but might fit one in before then, otherwise it’s likely to be September. I usually send an email out to the people on my mailing list asking who is interested, and then go from there. So, I hope you don’t mind if I add you to the list – please do get back to me if you’d rather I didn’t – it’s just the best way to make sure you get any info.
Best wishes,
Bronwen
