I’d bought a sewing machine and as predicted it sat gathering dust in a dark recess. That was until I started on one of Bronwens’ sewing courses.
It’s been a long time since I’d done any kind of sewing, and so I started on a beginners course. Throughout the course I’ve learnt many different skills, while making an array of things – we’ve made pin cushions, patchwork cushions, aprons, various clothing items, bags, we’ve even made a leather bag – I could go on……
Bronwen’s a great teacher and inspires confidence and creativity, to the point where I now have the sewing bug. I am now creating my own sewing room to accommodate my growing pile of fabrics!
As well as the courses, there are half day and day workshops. And if you’re not local, you could book a holiday instead – beautifully located in the Charente countryside, a peaceful place to kick back and relax while learning a new skill (or improving on an existing one). Yet conveniently situated near to larger towns and cities – including Bordeaux – if you want to soak up the French culture.
