I ran a full day workshop today – Free machine/motion embroidery… Seven lovely ladies attended and somehow, between morning coffee and afternoon tea (home-made cake by one of the participants!), and despite a lovely lunch in the garden, some superb work was produced… Most were complete beginners although three had attended my previous half day workshop. They started with a line “drawing” which is a great way to achieve good machine control… Some of these samples are certainly good enough in themselves to frame…. I then showed them how to use fabric scraps to create raw edge appliqué designs, stitched in place with stitching… The results are all so different, and all fantastic – framed, completed pictures to appear on my next post!
