I’ve had a fun day in the studio… First of all I finished off my Bargello quilt, and made my auntie an infinity scarf for her 80th birthday… Then I made a prototype chair seat pad cover for our self-catering cottage’s dining room – I’m planning on making the other 5 later this week. After that, I started experimenting with free machine embroidery ideas. I used to sell very detailed landscapes, but I want to create simpler pictures, in keeping with today’s popular style which uses raw edge appliqué as well. I also wanted to be able to incorporate quotations – I’m a bit of a collector of them! These are the ones I’ve created so far…
